Large table by Andre Arbus in Cerused Oak w/ Stone Top and Bronze Details, France c. 1940 

This table was commissioned for the silk scarf maker ‘Guillemin’ for their fashionable shop on Avenue de L’Opera in Paris. 

The Formica top which provided a smooth surface for the silk to glide across, has been replaced with stone and the table has been re-finished. The firm ‘Guillemin’ also produced silk scarves for Hermes.
